Hi!
I'm Maurice Jakesch.
I’m an assistant professor of Computer Science working on the societal impact of AI. I run the Computational Social Science Lab at Bauhaus University Weimar.
My research investigates how AI communication systems change society. Through behavioral experiments, machine learning, and data science, I study how language models undermine people’s ability to detect human-written text, how AI may start to homogenize opinions, and how AI tools reduce trust. My findings have been presented to the US Senate and were reported in Nature and the Wall Street Journal.
